On a islet, called “tapo”, where men of the lagoon usually build their huts “casoni”, usually there’s a “cavana”. This is a shelter for boats, usually covered by ditch reed.
Because of clayey substratum and the alternation of the tides, there was necessary continuous maintenance in order to prevent progressive sanding up of these small harbours.
