At eastern boundaries of Grado Lagoon, a fisherman rowes “alla valesana” on his boat.
This is a rowing technique with crossed oars, used in fishing valleys and in lagoon shallows.
This picture, relatively recent, testifies to us about an ancient way of rowing, nowadays almost fallen into disuse and used only under particolar environmental and fishing circumstances.
